Um...take it to a dealer or repair shop and have them look at it. That light comes on when there is a problem with your ABS system, which is really something that should be looked at, considering it affects how your car stops moving...

Mine came on once after being caught in a flash flood so I took it in to be safe just incase. Nothing was wrong, they just had to reset it, cost like 50 bucks for them to inspect it but worth every penny. Things like that should ALWAYS be checked out by the dealer. Good luck, hopefully nothings wrong and just needs to be reset.

Do you have a code reader??? if not I would sudgest in investin in one! (e-bay $30)

So you can watch ALL CELS that come through.

Any who your cel due to your cat & your ABS are two seperate lights.

Un-plug you battery. Wait an hour. plug back in. Start car.

If the ABS is on still go to the dealer!

My ABS went on before after doing some FWD burnouts. I took the fuse out and disconnected the battery. After awhile it went away. I'm still not sure how I fixed it. hahahaa

disconnecting the battery will not reset the ecu...that is obd I, we are obd II.....you need a scanner to read the code and find out what the problem is, fix the problem then clear the code.

if the car is OBD I which ours in NOT...then yes disconnecting the battery for a certain periode of time will reset the ecu....so if you want to clear codes on ours you need a scanner.

my abs light has been on also..... but my friend told me it was a fuse prob. duno i havent taken it in yet....... if any one finds out lemme kno also

What causes ABS light to come on and stay on?

The four common reasons that typically cause this light to turn on include a malfunctioning ABS module, low levels in the fluid reservoir, broken wheel speed sensors, or the system is turned off. Your ABS actually shares some important components with another system in your vehicle: your traction control system.

Is it OK to drive with ABS light on?

If your ABS light comes on individually, you are safe to drive your car to your destination, as your normal brakes will still work. You will, of course, have to be more careful as your ABS will not respond in case of an emergency.

How do I fix my ABS light?

If the light really is the ABS light, the first thing to try is turning the ignition key off and back on. It's like rebooting your computer. Maybe whatever transient issue that confused the ABS controller has passed and all is well. If the condition repeats, you need to do some further poking and prodding.
