  • Great. Go there for nice fotos of the city, the bay , Alcatraz, the seals and their noice. If you accept restaurants with "special prices" sometimes called something else , then go for it ( or not).

  • Be ready for crowds and a tourist spot. That being said there are a lot of dining options for every budget, shopping is what you would expect. Take the time to walk around the area and get an Irish coffee!

  • Very nice Pier. Full of restaurants and shops. The quality of the restaurants there though is not always the best. You can look for the sea lions at the end of it. You will see them lying very close.

  • It's a must visit in SF., lots to see and do, enjoy the cool breeze from the bay and the spectacular views as far as the eye can see. Have to eat at any of the many places that offer clam chowder in sourdough bowl, Boudins it's a local tradition!

  • Tourist trap. No redeemable quality with the exception of the aquarium. It is not as big as one in GGPARK but it is the perfect size and takes as much time as one would naturally want to spend in an aquarium. Get and use coupons.

  • Love the whole market feel bustling with tourists and small shops and the pier filled with boats! I tried the mini donuts covered in cinnamon sugar and they were yum! Don’t miss the largest chocolate only shop there..it’s quite crazy!

Wonderful hotel, really charming, the decoration is pretty. I really like the area, not busy but near buses and a few minutes walk from the bay and Pier 39. A really pleasant stay. The staff was really friendly and helpful. the room was clean and comfortable with an old-fashioned style that was actually cool. Coffee is offered near the reception which is really nice on lazy days. Toilets and showers are not in the room but it's not too bad as it's clean and I never had to wait. The hotel is also near the cable car stop to go downtown.

One of the best hotels in our US tour! Location is great: at walking distance from Pier 39, Columbus Street, Lombard Street and other city points. The hotel design is very cozy. We appreciated the fruit flavoured water refils at each floor, the internal patio, where you can sit and relax, as well as the guest laundry, free of charge. Also the gym is really nice. There is nor breakfast neither restaurant service, but you can get food by apps and food is available nearby too.

Location is good. Easy access to restaurant. Hotel is just few miles away from Crissy Field, Pier 39, Fishermen Whaft and China Town. As we are taking a king bed room, the room is spacious. Front desk was very helpful to change our room to be further away from the main street as we worry on the noise from the main street.

Location was great for the trolley and to pier 39. Also, lots of cycle hire places nearby. The hotel does have a few bikes to use but it is on a first come first served basis. Swimming pool was OK - the children enjoyed it and loungers and chairs around. Room and bathroom were absolutely fine.

The room was a little dated but perfect in many ways. Good location to city centre, just 5 minute Uber and about the same to pier 39. Breakfast was a bonus and very good continental style. Staff were great and courteous. Overall I would recommend this hotel

  • There are so many different parts to the city, with quirky places best found on foot - from walking along Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39, to huffing and puffing up Hyde St to Lombard St for the view, then down the Crooked St, then round the streets of Chinatown with its unusual foods and cheap gift shops, down to Union Square expensive stores and restaurants - and of the course the famous cable cars, which you can get from Market Street. And why not try breakfast at Lefty O'Doul's in Geary Street, with lots of memorabilia around the walls about this famous baseball player, manager and coach - even if you've not heard of him (we hadn't!).

  • Get up early (0700). We caught a cable car to Fisherman's Wharf and had it to ourselves. Most places not open but had breakfast at Denny's in the Holiday Inn. We hired a bike and cycled across the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito and got the ferry back.
