How do you factory reset a lg k51

Nota: This method does not work if your LG has the verification Google account lock, for this you must purchase the premium reset to remove with Google FRP bypass.

In this tutorial we explain how to reset your LG K51 and leave it fully restored to factory settings, the phone will remain as the first day it is purchased, without any information or programs installed.

If you have forgotten the phone security code or lock pattern, if you want to sell or give away your device to another person, or if your mobile phone is very slow and is very loaded with information, they are usually the most common reasons why it makes a hard reset

Attention: With this process you will lose absolutely all the information, contacts, notes, photos, videos, apps; so we recommend that if necessary, make a previous backup; the information on the microSD memory card is the only thing that would not be deleted

If you’re forgotten the lock screen PIN, Pattern, or Password on your LG K51, you’ll try to hard reset the phone via recovery mode. To access the recovery mode, we need to power off the phone.

However, on K51 it doesn’t let you turn off/restart the phone unless you enter the correct PIN, Pattern, or Password.

The solution to this problem is a force restart. During the restart, we need to use the volume & power button combination to access the recovery mode.

Let’s see how to do this. In a few minutes, you’ll be able to use your phone once again –

How to reset LG K51 phone without Google account Forgot Password/PIN/Pattern

I’ve forgotten the lock screen password on my LG K51. I want to hard reset the phone to restore it back to the working state.

We need to use the volume down & power key to enter the recovery mode. Let’s turn off our K51 to boot into recovery mode.

It’s not letting me turn off the phone without unlocking the screen. It shows an error – “Unlock the phone to power off”.

Now, let’s try to restart our K51.

The same this happened when I tried to restart.

Now, the only hope is a force restart.

Press & hold the volume down & power keys until the phone restarts.

During the restart as soon as the LG K51 logo appears, release the power button and hold it again. Don’t leave the volume down button.

Now, keep holding both the keys until you reach recovery mode.

We are now in Recovery Mode.

Let’s use the volume rocker & power keys to hard reset our K51.

Move down from No(Exit) to Yes using the volume key.

Now click the power button once.

Again go down from No to Yes and press the power key to reset your K51.

The factory reset takes a few minutes.

After a while, it brings me to the “Welcome” screen.

Let’s tap the forward button to proceed.

Click “Next” on the “New Second Screen” page.

In the next step, we are going to connect our K51 to a Wifi network.

It’s now checking for updates. This process takes a minute or two.

Afterward, it brings me to the “Copy apps & data” screen. Hit “Don’t copy” to proceed further.

Now, we are on the “Verify Password” screen. There is one more option on the screen “USE MY GOOGLE ACCOUNT INSTEAD”. Let’s click on it.

Now, we have reached the Google verification page. To get past this screen we need to sign in with the previously synced Google account on this specific device.

If you don’t remember the Google account credentials, go through the below hack to bypass the FRP lock screen –

How to bypass Google account on LG K51 without a computer – lmk500

First of all, bring out the keyboard by tapping “Email or phone” as shown above.

When the keyboard appears, click the small keyboard icon at the bottom-right corner.

This brings out a “Default keyboard” window. Click “Settings” to proceed further.

This will bring you to the “Manage keyboards” screen.

Tap the 1st keyboard i.e. “Gboard”.

On the Gboard Settings screen, click the “3 dots icon” and choose “Help & Feedback”.

Now, we have reached the Support page.

Select the first option – “Delete or disable apps on Android”.

On the following screen look for the phrase – “Tap to Go to Application Settings” and click on this link.

It brings us to the “App Info” screen. Scroll down & choose “Settings”.

Now, hit “Open” to launch the Settings app.

In Settings, Go to “Fingerprints” > “Next”.

Now, I’ve reached the “Select Screen Lock” page.

Let’s use it to set up a new screen lock PIN, Pattern, or Password.

I’ve chosen the PIN option. Let’s add 1234 as the new PIN.

Re-enter the PIN to confirm.

We have successfully replaced the old screen lock with this new PIN.

Now, let’s go back & use it to bypass the Google account verification.

Tap the back button to reach the first page.

Click the forward arrow when you reach the Welcome page.

Hit “Next” on the following screen.

Choose, “Don’t copy” to move ahead.

This time it directly brings me to the “Verify your account” screen. The screen lock verification page is missing. We need the “Verify PIN” screen to bypass the Google verification”.

To restore that page, we need to hard reset the phone once again. Let’s turn off the phone to enter recovery mode.

Long-press the power button and tap “Power off”. Wait for the phone to turn off.

Now, press the volume down + power keys to turn on the phone.

When LG K51 shows up, only release the power key for a moment and hold it again.

Keep holding both the buttons until you reach the “Factory data reset” page.

We are in recovery mode.

Go down from No to Yes and click the power button to select the “Yes” option.

Again move down from No to Yes and tap the Power button once. The hard reset will take a few minutes.

After some time, we have reached the first screen of the setup wizard.

Click the forward button to begin the device setup.

Hit “Next” on the “New Second Screen” page.

Connect your K51 to a Wifi network.

Click “Don’t copy” when you reach the “Copy apps & data” screen.

This time we get the “Verify PIN” option.

Let’s verify with the PIN we added a few steps ago i.e. 1234

The PIN verification was successful. We have bypassed the Google account verification.

Use the “Skip” option to skip the Google account sign-in. We can do it later.

Now, accept the Google services terms and conditions.

Tap “OK” on the “Review additional apps” screen.

The last screen of the setup wizard is the “Legal Documents” page.

Tick the “I agree” checkboxes and hit “Done” to complete the setup wizard.

We have successfully landed on the LG K51 home screen by doing a hard reset.
