Lip liners are essential to any makeup kit, they help prevent lipstick from bleeding outside the natural line of your lips. They also provide a perfect matte base for your lipstick or lip gloss to bed on top of your lips for extra longevity and coverage.
NYX lip liners are known to dupe many of the most loved MAC lip liners for half the price. I’ve chosen mostly nude to mauve shades ranging from pink undertone to reds:

They’re phenomenal for the price you pay. I don’t usually mind if my matte products are a little drying on the lips because then I’m assured they’re super mate with not the slightest satin glaze on them. To prevent the dryness from irritating my lips, I just prep my lips with my matte EOS lip balm in Honeydew.
These lip liners apply smoothly on the lips and stay put (for at least 6/7 hours) which is the most important when it comes to lip liners.
They’re somewhat hydrating as they contain coconut oil and are richly pigmented just like MAC. I mostly use them as lipsticks as I think they give off the effect NARS Pure Matte
lipsticks/Lip Pencils give off.
