Newport Beach Hotel was perfect for our anniversary trip! The location was ideal for us. It was literally steps off of the beach and located next to many shops and restaurants. The room itself was comfortable and clean. The only thing we wished we had was a refrigerator. It would’ve been nice to grab some snacks/sandwiches from the Pavilions so that we didn’t have to eat out every meal. I’m guessing it has something to do with the lack of electrical outlets in this century-old building. With the exception of the sink in the bathroom, there were no outlets anywhere other than behind the bed. We had to pull the bed out to plug in our phones. Also, I’m not sure if I should’ve requested it or not, the room wasn’t cleaned once the entire 6 days we were there. I would have appreciated some clean sheets and towels! As I mentioned earlier, this is an old building. The doors kinda slam, you can hear the people in the hall or sometimes when someone else turns their shower on. There isn’t an elevator. But the charm of this unique property makes the quirks easy to overlook. The front desk was super friendly and welcoming. They had a bunch of beach supplies for our use including some cruiser bikes. It was lovely to grab a few towels, chairs and an umbrella for the day at the beach. The breakfast was very simple. They had some different juices, coffee, fruit, and an assortment of bagels, bread, and muffins wrapped to go. We will be back! The location alone is magical!

We feel that this is more like a bed and breakfast type atmosphere, rather than a hotel. We love it here and make it a yearly destination for us.

Room did not have a window. I felt claustrophobic in it. They should publish that fact. There were termites all over the place too. Otherwise the property is beautiful in a great location

I love the proximity to the beach and activity. The lobby area is adorable. My room however, had an odd smell and it was either too hot or too cold. I couldn't get the temp regulated. The walls are also very thin. I could hear the people next to me talking and laughing until 3 am and when anyone opens or closes the doors its loud. Makes it really hard to sleep.

The location is fantastic. You can sit in the quaint lobby, read, sip tea, and watch and listen to the ocean 24/7. The staff was incredibly hospitable. it felt like a family run business that really cared about guests.
