Disney Dining Reservation Calculator for Disney World Vacations
Our Disney Reservation Calculator is a simple tool to determine when to book your Advanced Dining Reservations for your next Disney vacation.
When booking a Walt Disney World vacation, trying to figure out when to make your reservations can be confusing. That said, Disney has streamlined the process since re-opening after the Covid shutdowns. We have created a Disney Dining Reservation Calculator so you will know when to book your dining reservation.
Just enter the date you arrive at the park and let the Disney Reservation Calculator do the math for you!
Visiting Walt Disney World During the Covid-19 Pandemic
Please be aware that certain parks, hotels, restaurants, and experiences may be modified, limited, or unavailable at this time.
Note that Disney’s Dining Plans have been suspended (for now). FastPass+ has been replaced with paid Disney Genie+ and pay-per-ride Lightning Lane passes. Extra Magic Hours has been replaced with Early Theme Park Entry. Contact your Disney travel agent for the latest information.
- Advance Dining Reservations can now be made up to 60 days prior to your arrival.
- Advance reservations for recreation, the Enchanting Extras Collection, and other Disney experiences can also be made up to 60 days in advance.
Note: Disney Resort hotel Guests are able to make their reservations up to 60 days in advance PLUS the length of their stay (up to 10 days).
Disney has implemented a series of health and safety measures during the ongoing COVD-19 pandemic, including:
Disney Park Pass System
In order to promote physical distancing and manage attendance, Disney requires that all theme park reservations are made via the Disney Park Pass system. All Guests ages 3 and older must have a park reservation – and a valid admission for the same park on the same date as the reservation – in order to enter. Limit one park per day.
Face Coverings
Update 4/2022: Face coverings are optional for Guests in both outdoor and indoor locations, as well as on Disney transportation. Disney recommends Guests who are not fully vaccinated continue wearing face coverings in all indoor locations, including indoor attractions and theaters and on enclosed transportation. Face coverings are not permitted while using water slides or while in the water.
Why book your Disney reservations so far in advance?
As the saying goes, the early bird catches the worm. This motto is especially true for Disney vacations because of the limited availability at some of Disney World’s most popular attractions.
Restaurant seating and popular rides can fill up quickly, especially during the busiest times of the year. Therefore, it’s important to plan ahead and book your reservations as early as possible.
If you want some free help with your reservations, you can always use a Disney Travel Planner to help you get those early reservations.
Disney Reservation Calculator Timeline
WDW allows you to make advance reservations for lodging, dining, and other various activities around the park.
As part of our Disney Reservation Calculator, use our Advance Dining Reservations calculator to determine when to book your dining and in-park reservations.
Here’s a timeline to help guide you through the Disney Reservation Calculator as you decide when to book certain aspects of your trip.
Update: Advance Dining Reservation can be made up to 60 days (not 180 days) prior to your arrival. Additionally, the Disney Dining Plan has been suspended until further notice. Stay tuned for more updates as 2022 progresses.

To understand the Advance Dining Reservations calculator, it’s important to first understand how ADRs work. If you are not familiar with the process, the following information will help you get started.
What are Advance Dining Reservations?
Disney’s Advance Dining Reservation System (ADR) allows you to make dining reservations at Disney World’s table service restaurants.
Advance Dining Reservations can be made by any Walt Disney World guest, including those staying off Disney property.
There are literally hundreds of dining options throughout Disney World – ranging from upscale, casual, family, and themed restaurants – and plenty of dinner shows and character dining events to choose from.
The benefit of making Advance Dining Reservations (ADRs)
It can be a challenge just to walk into a full-service restaurant and expect to get seated, even during the low season. So if fine dining and character dining is a top priority on your Disney vacation wish list, plan on making your ADRs as soon as you are eligible to do so.
To start with, consider booking Advance Dining Reservations for a few hard-to-get table service restaurants – and maybe one character dining experience – when your 180-day (update: this has changed to 60 DAYS during COVID) window opens. Don’t worry if you are unable or unwilling to book all your dining at 180 days (update: this has changed to 60 DAYS during COVID).
Unless you are going to Disney World during the busiest times of the year, you should still be able to book at least a few table-service restaurants as your departure nears.
Also, keep in mind that Disney World has plenty of quick-service dining options that don’t require reservations. One thing is for sure – you will never go hungry at Disney!
Booking your Advance Dining Reservations (ADRs)
Secure your table at some of Disney’s most popular restaurants by booking your Advance Dining Reservations. On-site Disney Resort Guests can make ADRs 180-days before their check-in date (update: this has changed to 60 DAYS during COVID) and can book them for up to 10 days past their check-in date. Off-site Guests can make their ADRs for each day at 180-days (update: this has changed to 60 DAYS during COVID) of their arrival date. Use the Advance Dining Reservations calculator to determine the dates on which you’re eligible to book your selections.
You can make dining reservations online, by calling (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463. The Disney Reservation Center phone line is available between 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM, Mon-Fri, and 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM Sat and Sun. Online booking starts at 6:00 AM EST.
Another great option is to book your Disney World vacation through a reputable Disney travel agent. We highly recommend The Vacationeer for all your Disney travel needs. They are helpful and efficient, and their assistance is completely free of charge!
Which Restaurants are eligible for ADVs?
Advance Dining Reservations can be made at restaurants in Disney Springs, the 4 Disney World theme parks, and at Disney Resort hotels. ADRs can also be made for dinner shows and special dining events. Keep in mind that Disney World lounges and quick-service restaurants do not take ADRs.

Chef Mickey’s, Disney’s Contemporary Resort- Popular breakfast & dinner buffet restaurant with special visits from Mickey and friends.
Cinderella’s Royal Table, Magic Kingdom – This Cinderella-themed eatery is set in a room that resembles a medieval castle’s banquet hall.

Via Napoli, Italy Pavilion at World Showcase, Epcot – Amazing pizza! Need we say more?
There are over 140 restaurants operating within Disney World. Most of them are fantastic! We recommend that you spend some time reviewing all your dining options before making your Advanced Dining Reservations. Start your research by reading TripAdvisor/Yelp reviews, or by speaking with a Disney World travel agent about your best options. Then just type the date of your trip into the dining calculator to see when you can begin making your ADRs.
Disney recently introduced two types of paid “lightning lane” access options as part of the new Disney Genie app.
Disney Genie+
Guests who wish to utilize shorter ride queues (Lightning Lanes) will need to pay $15 ($20 at Disneyland) for the Disney Genie+ service. It essentially functions the same way the FastPass+ system used to work.
Guests can select a ride and a time using the Disney Genie app. There are over 40 rides to choose from and only 1 reservation can be made at a time.
Reservations can be made starting at 7 a.m. on the day of your visit to Disney World (or once the park opens at Disneyland).
Guests will be able to make their next reservation once the prior reservation is used (or expired/missed) or if 120 minutes have passed since making the previous reservation, Disney park hoppers will be able to use Disney Genie+ can be utilized at multiple parks on the same day (if you have the Park Hopper option).
Individual Lightning Lane Passes
Lightning Lane passes are related to Disney Genie+ but it’s a separate expense entirely.
An individual Lightning Lane Pass allows a guest to use the Lightning Lane entrance at one of Disney World’s highest-demand attractions. Lightning Lane Passes are available on a pay-per-ride basis. Guests are allowed up to two passes per day. Those staying at a Disney World property can make their first reservation starting at 7 AM on the day of the visit, or once the park opens if they are staying off-property.
Guests aren’t allowed to choose the same attraction for both of their selections.
The 4 attractions for Lightning Lane passes are Seven Dwarfs Mine Trains, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, and Avatar Flight of Passage. These are subject to change.
