I have a 1998 with a 5.9L MPI quad cab 1500. Looking to get specific info on the horsepower that it had when it rolled off the line as well as the towing capacity of the truck. Dodge can't help me because they can't look it up for vehicles older than model year 2000. Thanks. So I am guessing that a 96 would be pretty much the same? I am just wondering because that might be a but low to tow my JEEP and flat trailer. What about a hitch that is under the bumper and bolts to the bumper? I will mainly be using it for towing about a 2000lb boat.
