3 times my fooit has sliped off the brake pedal and on to the gas pedal. In all cases I was able to go back to the break pedal and stop. It seems the break pedal is slipery. In all cases the car lurched foward. This has never happened in any of the other cars that I have driven and continue to drive. Now with this Honda it has happened 3 times.

While accelerating on a multi-lane freeway, the dashboard speed suddenly indicated 0 mph and flashed warnings for power steering, emergency braking, suspension, and many other systems. Steering became almost impossible to control, with no resistance felt through the wheel, and small movements of the wheel resulting in unpredictable jerky movements of the vehicle. It was almost impossible to control the vehicle while exiting the freeway and coming to a stop. Obd scanner pulled only one code: u0416(68) invalid data received - vehicle dynamics control module.

Abs check light, vsa check light, power steering light comes on. They come on everytime the car is started. Sometimes it is immediately. Sometimes it is delayed. The lights come in that order. My car diagnostic scanning tool says abs will fail at 30 mph. I lack the funds to get car looked at.

I have contacted Honda about the ( epb) problem. They refuses to aknowedge the issue because my VIN number did not show up. The problem is there and I had it comfrim by a mechanic. There was no warning before hand till one day when day when engaging the parking brake the warning light came on and would not engaged. The only way was to cut the car off and restart it again. I am unable to park on a hill because of this problem and afraid of the system failing all together.

I was driving through an intersection, the car ahead of me was turning right and I was behind them with plenty of distance. They turned right and I followed straight. However my emergency braking system decided the car was very close, and better yet after it had already turned, decided I was about to have a collision with nobody in front of me and stopped my car in the middle of the intersection, while the light turned red. I desperately got my car to go, after abruptly stopping for no reason, but safe to say I was shaken up a bit and turned that off. Happened today of this complaint 8/5/2022. And it’s happened before on curvy roads, once where my car came to a abrupt stop and other times false alarms to “brake”.

The contact stated that while their son was using the vehicle's cruse control at approximately 65 mph they attempted to activate the brakes however they failed to stop the vehicle. The driver attempted to use the emergency braking system within the vehicle however that too failed to stop the vehicle. They ended up rear-ending a truck in front of them. The air bags did deploy. A police report was filed. The driver received injuries to both legs, shoulders, arms, head and neck. Medical attention was needed. There was damage to the truck rear-ended. The vehicle was towed and deemed totaled. The dealer was not made aware of the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and opened a case regarding the matter. Automatic emergency braking has gone off twice in 1 month on it's own. No car in front of me and the brakes went off and the "brake" light went off on the dashboard. Yes, my safety was put at risk. I am not seeing any recalls for this Honda but I have read that this is an ongoing problem.

On several (more than 10) occasions, my vehicle at random has randomly either shown me "brake" or it actually started to brake for me for absolutely nothing. On at least 3 occasions, most recently 5/9/22, the aeb system has activated with nothing in front of me on a straight, level road. Third-party forums report that this is a known issue as well. Thankfully no one was behind me as the system activating would have rapidly slowed the car had I not intervened.

I am being targeted as a driver since 2010 for driving programs that automatically adjust the weight needed to effectively press the brake and gas pedals of any vehicle. 4/8/2022 3:34 pm pst, such activities occurred when merging onto traffic on the 57 n freeway from imperial hwy on ramp. To confirm that such occurred and that it was not due to overwhelming the engine during driving in high heat conditions, e. G. 97 degrees. On past occasions, this has involved accelerating, although minimal, when I have pushed the gas pedal at e. Cameron Ave. And s. Pima Ave. Cross walk, to cause embarrassment, harassment, reports, and use of my emergency brake because children were crossing following a crosswalk guard. This incident was reported during 2010-2012. Such activity was suspected beforehand but too difficult to conclude that such was the case w/o incidents like the one just aforementioned. Since 2010, the radio has played alternative broadcasts, especially during activities as the one mentioned above to cause alarm, stress or for the purpose of involving someone else, such as maria auxiliadora hernandez, formerly solis and now flores, of knowing exactly what was said or what I was saying to myself w/o anyone around at any time. Such activities appear to be implemented as her work rather than the actual work she is supposed to complete for the company that she holds herself out as working for, e. G. The woman at the donut shop counter is supposed to be engaging in donut shop related activities, but instead begins to harass other employees and clients regarding what was emitted through the radio or what they were doing at the time of the broadcast, instead of completing activities related to staffing a donut shop. Such activities were used to control the extent of her work and her work environment in lieu of what she is contracted to complete. Cover up seems to be testing driving practices when its supposedly apparent that I am on my way to work in lieu of home.

The car have only 21,000 millas and the brake lihgt is on. The dealer said that is a high risk situation. The dealer (triangle Honda 65) have my car since one week ago. They said thathe problem is that master cilinder and the power set malfuntioning. The said that I donth any warranty. Replace the brake parts is very costly. My car si almost new and hace a few milleage. I beleive that is a possible new recall. The parte áre availeble for inspection upon request.

The vehicle's automatic braking function activates for no reason. Should only function if it detects objects in it's path which driver not reacting to. It has happened multiple times at both freeway speed as well as city speed. Mostly happens quick, applying slight brake with "brake" light illuminating on dash then quits. Scared it will apply full braking at some point. I know you are claiming occurs on accords and cr-v but mine being a Civic it is happening to me also. Please address this and require Honda to fix this fast!.

I was driving at 75mph in adaptive cruise control. The closest car in front or beside me was at least 1/4 mile away. The weather was perfect, no rain, wind, etc. Just sunshine. Without notice, the car automatically braked, the brake light showed up in the dash. The braking period lasted about two seconds during which time inertia slammed me forward. Fortunately there were no cars immediately in back of me or I no doubt probably would have been rear-ended. I did not step on the brake pedal or the gas pedal during this period. My vehicle is scheduled to be at the dealers service center in 6 days but with all the intermittent issues I am having with this vehicle, I am sure they will say they cannot replicate the problem. My assumption is that the forward collision system intermittently axctivated.

Adaptive cruise control (acc) has been randomly shutting off out of nowhere during my drive. This has been happening off and on for two months and is not happening due to the reasons it could happen in the owners manual. It will not turn back on unless I pull over and shut off the car or place the transmission into park which forces me to leave a highway. Today without acc even on I get 5 warnings including collision mitigation brake system failure and to see a dealer (pictures attached for all 5 warnings that came on the dashboard today). I saw rudolph Honda in el paso TX today and the service center lady told me she is aware of this problem and already tried to diagnose another 2022 Civic with no luck and there are no rentals to help me leave my car for further diagnostics and I cannot be seen for a week at borman Honda in las cruces nm nearby where I live. So Honda is putting me out for my time and money I give them for this faulty acc and related safety systems. I feel unsafe as this shuts off out of no where and could cause me to get rear-ended as last time this happened the car suddenly decelerated with someone behind me. This car is available for inspection.

Twice while using the adaptive cruise control on the interstate my vehicle gave me a "brake" warning and automatically applied hard braking on my vehicle even though this was at 0430 in the morning and no cars present on the interstate. I too pressed the brake and cancel on the steering wheel to try and disengage the adaptive cruise control, so I could regain control of my vehicle. The first time it happened, it caught me off guard. The second time it happened, I was waiting for it. I drove with my hand able to disengage cruise control as soon as it would happen. This was an attempt to verify if the first time was a fluke or if there was a real problem. I have not used my cruise control since because I cannot trust it. Luckily these were when the traffic was light on the interstate and it did not cause a wreck.

13 December, 2021 VIN: 1hgfa16516l131253 background: 30 June, 2015 - took our 2006 Honda Civic 4 door sedan (lx) in for service (odometer reading 75,801) in order to address coolant leaks. The oem dealership indicated there was a recall on this specific engine and Honda USA replaced the short block and gaskets ( exhibit h0cs10872 – replacement engine id number d67141432m ) to correct this problem. Issue: 10 December, 2021 - while driving home (8 miles on local errands) the engine began making a rattling noise. No warranting indicators appeared on the dashboard alerts. Parked the in garage, inspected the garage floor for fluid leaks – there were none. Immediately arranged to take can in for service. 12 December, 2021 - left residence to take the car in for an inspection and / or service. Without warranting the engine failed, lost steering and braking. Had car towed for inspection. 13 December, 2021 – car inspected (odometer reading 117,366) finding engine sized. It should be noted that since the short block replacement the car has only been driven 41,565 miles in 5 years.

The contact stated that there were no other vehicles around the vehicle. The brake warning light illuminated. The contact stated that as her son was attempting to veer to the side of the road, the vehicle inadvertently accelerated and crashed into the fire hydrant. The contact stated that the vehicle rolled over twice and landed on its wheels on the road. The contact's son was able to exit the vehicle through the front passenger side door. The contact's son sustained a laceration on his face, a laceration on his arm, and severe pain on the abdomen and shoulders. The contact stated that she took her son to the nearest hospital. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot, where it was totaled. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 62,000.

2125 miles on this type r, fresh off the show room floor. At low speed turning into the slight dip in my driveway, the suspension in sports mode flexed enough for the driver side tin rotor back plate at the driver front wheel to get caught on the lower control arm. Drove it to Honda, and yes, they confirmed that this had happened, that the thin tin plate had indeed become stuck on the lca! screeching like you cannot believe b/c when this happens, the top of the plate is flexed onto the top of the brake rotor and it goes metal to metal. Honda told me they have no idea how this happened but myself, a professional mechanic can clearly see exactly what happened. Honda tried to bill me for this warranty repair to the tune of $475. I told them "no!" they backed down. Yes, this vehicle is available for inspection any time you want. And yes, I can make the problem happen again just by hitting the dip while making a left-hand turn into my driveway.

The contact owns a 2018 Honda Civic. The contact stated that while driving at 60 mph, the power steering had failed and the vehicle was difficult to steer. The tire pressure monitoring, brake system, electronic power steering, and stability assist warning lights were illuminated. The contact was able to drive to her residence. The dealer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact to turn off the vehicle and turn it back on to correct the failure. The power steering was corrected after restarting the vehicle; however, the warning lights were still illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer and diagnosed with lost communication with the steering angle sensor. The dealer calibrated the steering angle sensor and cleared the dtc, then test drove the vehicle. The failure recurred a week later with an additional unknown warning light. The vehicle was towed a second time back to the dealer, who diagnosed that rodents were chewing the steering column wires. The dealer replaced the steering column wires and wrapped them in a tape produced by the manufacturer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the steering column wires were soy-insulated, which could attract rodents. The failure mileage was 31,879.

I'm the original and only owner of the vehicle, which has less than 36,000 miles. My Civic has only ever been serviced by Honda dealerships, and I can provide maintenance records upon request. A failure of this nature to the braking system can only be caused by a defective part. In fact, I had my brakes inspected by Honda at 33,000 miles, and Honda gave my brakes a clean bill of health. While driving my vehicle, the brake pedal suddenly was unable to be depressed except with extreme foot pressure; it felt like a brick had been placed under my brake pedal. The stopping power was substantially diminished. It took multiple, very strong brake pumps to slow and stop my vehicle, meaning I was unable to stop in the event of an emergency. I took the car immediately to a Honda dealership. Ultimately, Honda replaced by brake booster, which they noted was defective, but charged me for the repair because the time (but not mileage) had elapsed on my warranty.

Three issues I been having every since I got my car. 1. Car navigation displays not working properly, screen completely freezes or black-out. 2. Brake warning sign appears randomly in dashboard even if theres no vehicle in front, probably an issue with the car detection sensor camera . 3 probably the most important. The car shuts down. Oil light and battery light shows in dashboard when this happens, usually when the vehicle is coming to a stop. This is an outgoing issue that is really concerning. I have take the car multiple times to the dealer and the have failed to solve any of this issues, the previously told me it was the turbo but never replace it, then I was told it was the electronic wastegate nothing was done then, now two days ago April 21, 2022 this happen again, haven't take the car to the dealer because I know they aren't going to do anything about it.

Started my car in neutral with the parking brake engaged. The car took off by itself up a curb over a hill and struck another vehicle. I managed to get back in the vehicle and applied the brakes but the brakes did not respond. And my car was serviced at freeway Honda in santa ana three days prior to the accident. I reported the problem with the brakes, they did a brake service, but they did not properly diagnose the issue and fix it. They told me they couldn’t find any problems and release the car back to me. Three days later it was in an accident and the brakes failed. Now freeway Honda has stated that they finally diagnosed the issue with the brakes, but they are refusing to fix it free of charge even though they have been deemed liable for the accident. My rear shocks were also damaged due to the impact of going up the curb and state farm is investigating that to see if they will be paying for the repair and replacement of the shocks.

My 2013 Honda Civic has just 80000 miles. 4 lights came on recently: abs, brakes, power steering and vsa lights. I took it to the Honda dealership to get it diagnosed. They said it's the vsa modulator that has gone bad and needs replacing. The part is $1500 not including labor. This part is a known problem for Civic and accord models and other Honda models. My car still drive normal but those lights indicate a huge risk. I would like to get it repaired but the dealer said they don't have that part, it's on back order with no eta. This means that it is a common problem where everyone is looking for it and supply ran out. Also I was told that thailand did a recall on this part and Honda agreed to the recall. This is a safety issue and many cars out there have same issues at even lower mileage than mine. And my car 80k miles is still very new. Would you please open an investigation and hopefully have Honda do a recall on this part ASAP. Thanks, jeremy.
