  • Bath & Body Works frequently discontinues fragrances to make room for new products.
  • Though customers may think their favorite scents are gone forever, many discontinued products are actually sold exclusively on the Bath & Body Works website.
  • All retired products sold on the Bath & Body Works website are included in online sales and promotions.

For those of us who can't afford to spend a fortune on perfumes and body lotions, Bath & Body Works has always offered low-cost yet high-quality options.

Still, the brand constantly retires products to make room for new lines — and there's no worse feeling than your signature scent being discontinued. But before you mourn the loss of your favorite old fragrances, check the Bath & Body Works website.

There's an almost hidden page on the store's website where you can find a ton of retired products that you can still buy online

According to Bath & Body Works' website, the retired scents were brought back online in response to customer feedback.

Here's just a sample of some products you might see on the page:

Retired fragrances on Bath & Body Works' website are marked with a "Retired" label. Bath & Body Works

While the website's "Retired Fragrances" page doesn't definitively state how long the products will be available, it does say that "you'll be best friends forever" with the retired products — so it seems like they'll be around for a while.

This statement can be found at the bottom of the "Retired Fragrances" page. Bath & Body Works

The retired scents are also included in online sales, so you can add them to your cart the next time Bath & Body Works has a "Buy Three, Get Two Free" sale.

To find the page, head to the dropdown menu under 'Body Care'

The "Retired Fragrance" page isn't promoted on the Bath & Body Works website, but its not too hard to find. First, click on the "Body Care" tab at the top of the website, and then scroll down to "Featured" products; the "Retired Fragrance" page should be listed on the right.

To find the retired fragrances, search through Bath & Body Works' "Featured" section. Bath & Body Works

Not every discontinued product is included on the website, but many of the brand's most iconic scents are available

Some popular retired scents worth picking up include the "Plumeria" shower gel ($12.50).

Plumeria was a popular scent in the '90s. Bath & Body Works

The "Twilight Woods Shea Body Cream" ($13) is still a customer-favorite, despite being discontinued years ago.

On Twitter, Twilight Woods is one of the most talked-about retired scents. Bath & Body Works

The "Cucumber Melon Fragrance Mist" ($14) is refreshing, so it make sense that shoppers wanted Bath & Body works to bring this scent back.

The scent of -Cucumber Melon takes many back to their childhood. Bath & Body Works

The Bath and Body Works Semi Annual Sale is coming next month. Even though I don’t know when the sale will actually start, I am hopeful they will include some scents that I really love in store. Over the years, the scents I really love have been discontinued, but they return in the Semi Annual Sale. This year, I don’t know if they will return, but I still keep an eye out for them.

In April, I discovered one of my favorite scents in the Aromatherapy line, Love, was changed. The original scent was rose and vanilla and was one of my signature body wash fragrances for many years. When I saw it was changed, and I really didn’t like the new version of Love, I felt inspired to finally write a post I wanted to make for some time: A post when I talk about all the Bath and Body Works discontinued scents I wish would come back!

Not all the scents I wish could come back will probably be scents everyone likes. This is just my personal preference in scents and what I like to smell like on a daily basis.

Aromatherapy Love (Rose and Vanilla Version)

The first scent I wish would come back is the original version of Love. I wanted to include it in this post because it was the scent that made me want to write the post in the first place! The combination of rose and vanilla was beautiful. It smelled great on my skin and many of my friends love it as well. My friends and I were socked when we discovered the scent has be discontinued and replaced with the new rose and coco scent. I wish Bath and Body Works would rerelease the scent again, this time with rose and vanilla!

Aromatherapy Thankful

The Thankful scent from Bath and Body Works’ Aromatherapy line was a holiday seasonal scent from the late 2010’s. (I think it was from 2019) It included scents of frankincense and myrrh, turning the scent into a beautiful fragrance for the holidays. The scent was too strong for me, but I liked the smell of it and my guy friends loved the scent. I wish Bath and Body Works would bring back Thankful for the holiday season!

Strawberry and Bourbon

I faintly remember Strawberry and Bourbon fragrance as a body wash years ago, but my most vivid memories of it are from the late 2010’s. That was when I found a bottle of Strawberry and Bourbon body wash in the summertime semi annual sale. I used it, fell completely in love with it, and waited patiently for it to be sold by Bath and Body Works again. Unfortunately, the scent is still not sold either as a permeant member of Bath and Body Works’ body wash line, as a retired fragrance, or available for a limited time during the semi annual sale. I don’t know it would be financially feasible to bring the fragrance back permanently, but I do wish it would return sometime in the future.

Well, that’s all for now! Thank you for reading!

Does Bath and Body Works rename scents?
