8.0 GreatBased on 240 verified guest reviews 7.9Solo 7.8Families 8.0Couples 8.1Friends Time of Year: Mar-MayJun-AugSep-NovDec-Feb Sort by: Cons:Room was clearly being redone in some parts, spackle on the walls, no paint, tv didn’t work for hours. Balcony was aboutb2 feet by 3 feet (which we paid extra to have). Our room was extremely noisy (from the floor above us where their catering room is). Due to the noise from the catering room starting at 5am we could not sleep. Ac unit extremly loud. Would not go back for the amount of money we paid. Pros:The port activity from the roof top. Salmon dish on the bar menu was fantastic Cons:Room lighting was cold. Stain on the chaise, plastic cups in the room. The balcony was more of a window view as it was very small and not functional as a balcony. Pros:Great location, modern design, cleanliness, courteous staff Cons:We had a room directly underneath the lobby/elevator area. All we could hear constantly were footsteps and people walking around. It is terrible that this is even a room that the hotel would put people in. It seems obvious that good hotel design would utilize this space for other hotel amenities/uses rather than a room that people have to sleep in (or be kept awake in). Pros:The staff were helpful and pleasant The location was perfect for the historic district Our room was large and spacious Cons:The valet dented our vehicle Our room was not ready at the 3:00 check in time We would have benefitted from more towels however they were brought promptly when we asked It woukd have been helpful to have a small fridge Pros:Clean on the water Cons:AC loud, had to get car from valet lot myself in the early AM. Was told would get a room with view but didn't Pros:The staff was great, the room was even better, one of the best hotels I have stayed in! The river view and the night life around was also very nice! Cons:Valet parking was the only option for 25. per night, but the staff there was very nice also. Pros:Love the location, fantastic to walk around beautiful historic downtown. Right on River Street. Felt very safe. The bathrooms are very nice and such a nice size, much bigger that most that are the size of a small closet. Cons:The floor was not very clean, like it had not been mopped. I would also maybe suggest another hotel if you are traveling with children. The rooftop bar is great, but you also have to contend with lots of drunks. I would not like to expose my children to the language and the fact that most people riding the elevator are seriously drunk! Pros:The rooms and common areas in front of hotel spacious, clean and modern. Cons:No pool. Parking expensive Pros:Location; bathroom Cons:No guest amenities; no coffee or newspapers in lobby; no fridge, bad a/c ; bad pillows; poor selection of tv channels; cramped room size. Nowhere to sit comfortably. 126 West Bay Street, Savannah, GA 31401
