This house holds many family memories and is located on a beach that I dream about often. I'm so happy to share this place with others and still keep it in the family. Southern charm and contemporary colors have really brought this house back to life. It has beachy kitchen with butcher block countertops, glass tile backsplash, and stainless steel appliances. The kitchen and downstairs bedroom have tongue and groove solid wood walls and ceilings that my grandfather installed. Off the downstairs bedroom there is a washer and dryer, detergent is provided free of charge, and an iron and ironing board is also available. The kitchen is fully stocked with Keurig, French press, coffee grinder, toaster, microwave, toaster oven, Ninja blender, rice cooker, waffle maker, coffee and selection of teas, full set of cookware and bakeware, and so much more. It also includes the basic cooking necessities, e.G., oil, pepper, spices, condiments. It also includes outdoor plates and cups to take to the rooftop deck to enjoy a great meal alfresco. The property has UHD 4K smart TV in the living room, sunroom, and two of the bedrooms, with Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Video, and Disney+ streaming services. We have chairs, toys, and towels specifically for the beach as well as fishing poles. An outside shower is available at the house so you can rinse off and feel more comfortable. There's an outside shower to rinse off after a glorious day at the beach.There are also outside stairs to take straight up to the deck to catch the last rays. Having Daisy, the dog, come over every day was very nice and cute and also gave us a sense of security from the 400 lb neighbor (the bear haha). Cabin was simple, very clean and well stocked. Nice big yard, no problem hooking up to WiFi. Had Netflix, Pandora, Roku, and a local news feed. No live tv. No cell service (that was perfect. Lol). Playing board games, relaxed, reading, campfire, s’mores, etc. Short drive to Juniper Springs, Gator Joe’s, Silver Springs, Dam Diner. Nothing fancy, but dog friendly and comfortable. Other reviews mentioned issues getting there -- but we had none at all. GPS took us right to the house & no issues with sugar sand & our SUVs. Being on well water, it was nice touch to find a filtered water dispenser. Towels & sheets were good quality & kitchen was fully stocked with all the necessities & then some. Neighbors were friendly. Property felt very safe & secluded. Lots of wildlife visit the cabin & can be found in surrounding neighborhood including peacocks, birds, wild pigs. Favorites are the neighbor's friendly dog & the cabin's pet chicken. My 5 yr old son enjoyed running around the property and making Smores by the fire pit at night. Wi-Fi was very good. Enjoyed ourselves so much we stayed an extra night, thanks to the host happily obliging our request. Highly recommend staying here. Dianne September 2019 The unpaved streets take a little getting used to. The mosquitos were pretty bad so we couldn't sit outside very long. The neighbor's dog was delightful and made us smile. This is the perfect site if you want seclusion and a get-away from city life. We loved the crowing roosters and braying donkey every morning at dawn. Very quiet and restful. From the very beginning of our search for a property for March, the owner impressed us. He made the reservation process very smooth and easy. Second, the price and rental agreement were more than fair to the renter. Third, we knew we were dealing with a proud owner when he allowed us to preview the property a year ahead as we were passing through the area. Fourth, what a treat it was to arrive to find an immaculate house in such an ideal location. Not only was the house clean, there were lots of supplies provided for the bathrooms and kitchen such as paper towels, several rolls of toilet paper, dry goods, liquid hand soaps, laundry detergent, garbage bags, etc which was such a generous extra. Not having to go pick up those staples right away was a real bonus. Speaking of the kitchen, there were LOTS of dishes, glasses, cutlery, and utensils, and pots and pans. The layout of the house and the backyard with the pool and large screened dining area was ideal. We spent hours enjoying the view of the lake from the pool, the deck, and the screened porch. It was so relaxing and private. We dipped into the pool every day, especially after our walks through the neighborhood and around the trail at the park nearby. What some call cold,we considered refreshing. LOL The owner was so accommodating. Upon our arrival, we met his handyman, Ernie, who was replacing a screen in the porch (he had allowed us to move in early- another kindness- so Ernie would have been done by the original arrival time) and a few minutes later he called to make sure we were moved in ok and APOLOGIZED for Ernie still being there. We knew that was a good sign but totally unnecessary. So many places were nearby but it was so peaceful at the house, I ALMOST resisted the pull of the outlet malls, Costco, LA Fitness, Publix, Bealls Outlet, Winn Dixie, Panera, and Outback Steakhouse but not quite. I dropped my baseball fanatic husband off at The Ballpark of the Palm Beaches ( 13 minutes away) and ran to the stores and back as quickly as I could. We hated to leave at the end of our month and hope to get back some day. We received our refund of our damage deposit in less than two weeks ( very fast considering it was international mail!) Most places we looked at that had 3 bedrooms the third bedroom had twin beds but this property had 3 bedrooms and all had King or queen beds.
