  • Puppies go through a critical period of socialization between five and twelve weeks of age. During this period of time they mature very rapidly. If isolated from external stimuli and not exposed to the outside world, they can grow up to be fearful adult dogs. Litters of puppies raised in an isolated location such as a barn, a garage or a dog kennel often have little exposure to humans except those feeding them.
  • Puppies that receive little or no human handling between the ages of five and twelve weeks of age often remain fearful when exposed to new situations. Meeting their new family for the first time, the car ride to their new home, their first trip to the vet, and meeting children, strangers or other dogs for the first time can be extremely frightening for these puppies. 
  • Great Bernese of KC will consistently have the puppies interact with children, noises, other animals and our other adult dogs. They are not confined in a cage ever. . They are raised in our home and handled consistently by us and our 4 children. Every puppy is accustomed to hair dryers, vacuum cleaners, automobiles, and other loud noised by the time they leave Great Bernese of KC.

 Each puppy is then dewormed at every other week starting at 2 weeks old. As a precaution, each puppy is treated with prescription Marquis for coccidiosis and panacur for giardia. Each pup is also given a bordetella (kennel cough) vaccine which is good for 1 year of age. 

We require a $500 dollar non-refundable deposit to reserve a puppy.  Reservation Choices will be on a first deposits made will have first choice and then we will work down the list.  Price for the puppies is  $2000, which includes wormer and first shots. 

We don't take breeding our dogs lightly and want to provide families with wonderful companions. Our puppies are hand raised and whelped at our home with love and lots of attention. They have plenty of room to run and play indoors and outdoors. Our puppies are socialized with several adult dogs, horses, goats, cats and small dogs from day one.

They are ready for their new loving homes at 8 weeks of age. Puppies will have 1st shots, wormed and vet checked. If shipped we will provide a health certificate. The cost of shipping is extra for our puppies and is added to the price of your puppy.

Reservations are required with a deposit of $600.00 for the Bernese Mountain Dog puppy and $300.00 for the Crossbred puppy. All deposits are non-refundable. Once your deposit is received you will be placed on the puppy reservation list. We will contact you once the puppies are born.

You may pick up your puppy at Pine Acre Farms Canine Center or we can work with you to make travel arrangements.
