Personal Page SharesEven though businesses are sharing content to the public, many business owners also share their business content via their personal page to reach connections that might not be on your business page. If your personal Facebook settings are set to high privacy settings, your family and friends won't be able to share that content; they can only read it. Facebook settings also include privacy sharing options, which are set when the post-originator first publishes the post. When you create a post, you have the option to share it to your timeline or to share it to the news feed. You must share it to your news feed. Business Page SharesBusiness pages give you the same option to share but automatically are sent to the news feed for followers and the public to see. Where many business owners get confused and lose the ability to share the post is when they share the business page post to their personal page that is maintained as Private or Friends. Even though the original post is shareable, you may need to adjust the setting so others can share it from their pages after you have shared the post from your business to a personal page. WarningDon't confuse a business page with a group. Some groups are designed to be Secret, Private or Closed. These are designed for confidentiality purposes, and these posts, although they are seen by members, they're not shareable outside the community.
