Important: If the photo or video already exists on your camera roll, you can't download it from Google Photos.

1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Google Photos app

Move all photos to a different Google Account

If you accidentally backed up your photos on the wrong Google Account, you can move them to a different account.

Transfer photos from an iPhone to your PC.

First, connect your iPhone to a PC with a USB cable that can transfer files.

1. Turn your phone on and unlock it. Your PC can’t find the device if the device is locked.

2. On your PC, select the Start  button and then select Photos to open the Photos app.

3. Select Import > From a USB device, then follow the instructions. You can pick the items you want to import and select where to save them. Allow a few moments for detection and transfer.

Make sure the photos you want to import are actually on the device rather than in the cloud. Then, follow the steps for your type of device.

Have you been wondering how to save photos from your iPhone? With a couple of quick taps, you can easily save images you’ve received from email or Messages. Saving images on your iPhone from email or Messages is roughly the same process, but with email, you can also copy and paste the image from one email into a new email. We'll cover both methods, plus some quick ways to transfer those images from your iPhone to your desktop.

How to Save Pictures from Text Messages on an iPhone

1. Tap on the Messages App.
   
   

   

2. Tap on the conversation with the image you want to save.

3. Tap and hold the photo.

How to Save Multiple Photos from a Message Thread on an iPhone

1. In the message with the photo you want to save, tap the little arrow next to the sender's name. 
   
   

   

2. Tap the Info button.
   
   

   

3. Tap See All to view every photo in the message chain. 
   
   

   

4. In the top-right corner, tap Select.
   
   
   

5. When you're finished selecting multiple photos on your iPhone, tap Save. Your photos will appear in your Photos App.
   
   

   

How to Save Pictures from Email on an iPhone

1. In the Mail App, open the email with the photo(s) you want to save.

2. Tap and hold the image.

3. Tap Save Image. (Or tap Share then Save Image if your iPhone is an older version.)
   
   

   

4. To save all the photos in the email, tap Save # Images.

5. The saved images will appear in your Camera Roll in the Photos app.

Also, if you'd like to quickly copy/paste a photo from one email to another: Tap Copy (shown in the screenshot above) and start a new email. Tap and hold in the body of the email and select Paste.

How to Save an Image on a Mac from Your iPhone

If you have iCloud Photo Library enabled, once you've saved an image to your iPhone's Photos app from Messages or Mail, those pictures are automatically uploaded to your iCloud Photo Library. You can access your photos directly from your iCloud account or any device where you're logged in to your iCloud account or by sharing the images through Airdrop.
