How to delete gmail promotions all at once

Emails you receive on Gmail are mainly categorized into three parts- Primary, Promotions, and Socials. Among these categories, the Promotions tab doesnt require your immediate attention. Emails relating to deals, offers, marketing, and other promotional emails usually land here.

So, you can delete or disable the whole category from your inbox to get rid of such emails. This article will discuss different ways to Delete all Promotions in Gmail at once. 

Make sure you have signed in with your Google account on your device and follow the steps below.

On PC

Heres how to delete all Promotions Emails from Gmail on your PC. 

1. Open Gmail on your Web Browser.
2. Go to the Promotions tab.
3. Click on the Checkbox right below the search bar. All the Emails on that page get selected.
   
4. Click on Select all X conversations in Promotions below the checkbox to select all Emails from all pages. 
   
5. Click on the Bin icon at the top.
   
6. Under Confirm bulk action confirmation box, click on OK.
   

On Mobile

Theres no option to select all emails at once on mobile yet. So, you will have to select them manually and delete them. However, you can use the Desktop Site feature on your phones web browser. Doing so converts the Phone Interface to a Desktop, and you can quickly delete emails in Gmail at once, like on a PC.

Heres how to do it. 

1. Open a new tab on your Web Browser.
2. Click on the three Vertical Dots on the top right.
3. Enable the Desktop Site option from the menu.
   
4. Search for Gmail and open it.
5. Log into your account. 
6. Go to the Promotions tab.
7. Press the Checkbox right below the Search mail bar on the top left.
   
8. Tap on Select all X conversations in Promotion option beside the checkbox.
   
9. Press the Bin icon.
   
10. Click OK on the confirmatory box.
    

Following these steps will move the Emails to the bin. They wont get deleted permanently yet.

How to Delete All Promotions From the Bin/Trash?

Deleted Emails tend to stay in the trash for 30 days. To permanently remove the recently deleted promotion Emails, go through the following steps.

On PC

1. Open Gmail on the Web Browser.
2. On the left side, click More on the menu.
   
3. Select the Bin/Trash option.
4. Click on the Empty Bin Now option.
   
5. Click OK on the Confirm Deleting Messages box. 
   

On Mobile

1. Open Gmail.
2. Tap on Three Horizontal Lines on the top left.
   
3. Select the Trash/Bin option on the menu.
   
4. Select the Empty Trash Now option.
   
5. Tap on OK on the confirmation box.

How to Disable Promotions From Gmail?

If you dont want promotional Emails to appear in your inbox, you can easily hide them. Disabling Promotions tabs can help you organize your Gmail space and keep you away from commercial promotions and sale announcements. 

On PC

1. Open Gmail on your web browser.
2. Click More on the menu on the left.
   
3. Click on Manage Labels.
   
4. Go to the Inbox tab.
5. Under Categories, uncheck the Promotions option.
   

On Android

1. Open Gmail.
2. Tap on Three Horizontal Lines on the top left.
   
3. Scroll down and tap on Settings.
   
4. Tap on your Email Account.
5. Select Inbox Categories. 
   
6. Unselect the Promotions option.
   

On iPhone

1. Open Gmail.
2. Tap on Three Horizontal Lines.
   
3. Scroll down on the Menu and tap on Settings.
   
4. Under inbox, tap on Inbox Customizations.
   
5. Tap Inbox Categories. 
   
6. Disable Promotions.
