There are several places you can find the serial number for your AirPods if you ever need it. Here they all are, starting with the easiest option.

Once you find your AirPods with the sound, tap the X button on the left of the screen. Step 7: Alternatively, if your AirPods isn’t turned on and close to you, that is, outside of Bluetooth range, you have to tap on Directions. The map will pop up with the last place your AirPods were seen when it was on. Suppose you left it in a cafe or in your university grounds after last using them, you will know where to find them by following the path on the map. Enjoy your music as before! Find One Lost AirPodFinding one lost AirPod isn’t different from tracking the entire pair. Only, you can specify the exact pair you are looking for. Step 1: Follow the steps as stated in the Find Lost AirPods section until Step 4. Step 2: Tap on the L or R button on the upper left corner over the signal indicator. Even one part of the pair should make the exact same chime to help you locate it. Step 4: If the Find button does not work and your lost Pod isn’t nearby, tap on Directions. We hope the Pod is still there when you go look in the last location you left it. Find Lost AirPods That Are OfflineFinding lost AirPods that are offline isn’t a guarantee. If it has been stolen, the person your AirPods now belongs to might never come online. If it has been somehow left in some alleyway, then an even lesser chance of anyone finding it and turning it on. However, if it does come online at one point, you can set your iPhone to get an instant notification. Source: Apple Support When someone turns on your AirPods, you will receive immediate notification. Step 4: Turn on Pairing Lock under Notify when Found. Step 5: Assuming a kind person finds your AirPod and wants to return it to you, press Leave a Message. You can enter your email id or phone number. How to find the serial number of your Airpods?While your AirPods serial number isn’t useful for locating your lost AirPods, it can be of use in various other situations. The serial numbers are usually present on the package you were sent the AirPods in and inside the charging case, particularly under the area for the right pod. As long as those are online though. If your AirPods are lost in another location but online, you can still find them. It is only if your AirPods are lost, offline, and never turned on again that you need to worry. At that point, it might be best to buy a new one and hope your old ones will turn up one day. Can I track AirPods by serial number?Even Apple won't be able to track them with your AirPods serial number. In this case, your best option is to replace your lost or stolen AirPods case instead.
