How to remove youtube videos from feed

When your YouTube channel starts to look cluttered with unwanted content, YouTube provides options to remove the video thumbnails that display near the top of the screen. Accessing the “Video Manager” and “My Channel” tools will bring up the lists that log your watched and favorite videos, for example, and help you delete this content. The updated categories such as “Favorites,” and “Watch Later” will show gray boxes with small symbols, and no video stills, along your channel’s header.

Watch History

  1. 1.

Click your username and select “My Channel.”

  2. 2.

Click “Watch History” in the sidebar to display the list of viewed videos and the thumbnails.

  3. 3.

Click “Clear All Watch History” in the menu and then click “Clear all watch history” on the pop-up window to confirm. Your Watch History will have no list. A message displays above your Watch History list: “Your watch history was cleared.”

Playlists

  1. 1.

Click your username and select “My Channel.”

  2. 2.

Click “Playlists” in the sidebar to bring up the list of video thumbnails.

  3. 3.

Click the blue playlist title to open the video list and then click “Edit playlist.”

  4. 4.

Click to tick the check boxes beside the video thumbnails. Click the “Actions” menu and select “Remove videos from playlist.”

While YouTube has improved over the years in curating content based on your viewing habits, it’s still far from being as good as a human. Content that you don’t want to see might pop up in your feed from time to time, and to eliminate this possibility, you’ll need to take some action. In this guide we share a few methods to block YouTube channels from appearing on your homepage. We also show you how you can reduce interactions with annoying or antagonistic channels.

Block YouTube Channels from Appearing in Your Feed

First, it’s worth trying the in-house method to block YouTube channels. Your YouTube homepage displays all manner of videos it thinks you might be interested in – from recent uploads on regularly visited channels to “recommended” videos based on your viewing habits. But these may include videos that you don’t want to see AT ALL. When that happens, you can block these channels from appearing in your feed. The curation tool may not be easy to find, as it’s referred to as “Not interested” on YouTube.

To block videos from certain channels from appearing in your recommended feed on desktop or the mobile app, follow these steps:

    PC

    1. Click the three-dot menu icon next to the title of a video on your YouTube homepage. (It’s invisible until you hover your mouse over the right area.)
