Estee Lauder was never a brand I would have named one of my favorites. Yes, I had heard about the Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum, loved by many, but somehow I thought of it as outdated, something my grandmother would have used, something I was way to young to put on my bathroom shelf.

But as I have gotten more and more into serums, turned 35 (ha, 41 by the time I am updating this blogpost!) and remembered my grandmas gorgeous skin, I decided it was time to let go of my prejudice and buy one of the most well-known serums on the market:
Estee Lauders Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II.

Price and size

There are three sizes available, 30 ml, 50 ml and 75 ml. The 30 ml size retails for 74,95 € here
As always the price per ml decreases when purchasing a bigger bottle, so I once bought a 100 ml size in Duty Free in Singapore (never seen it again after that) which lasted me over a year of constant use.

Texture and scent

A slightly yellow, milky liquid with no noticeable scent that does sink in quickly without tackiness.

How to use the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum

Despite the name it can be used morning and night. Apply a few drops to your skin after cleansing and before moisturizer. It pairs well with “active” serums like acids or retinoids.

Strangely enough nothing in the ingredient stands out as an explanation to why I adore this serum so much. No fancy actives, just a blend of humectants, one peptide and (maybe that is the key to its greatness?) fermented ingredients or postbiotics. But even without any fancy stuff explaining the high price point, there is no denying that this serum delivers, at least for me.

Does the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum live up to its claims?

Yes.

My skin is instantly hydrated, calm and more radiant after using it.

Will I repurchase?

Yes, I already have multiple times.

Which skin types is it best suited for?

Honestly all of them. It is the serum that I reach for when I am not sure what my skin needs, when it is upset, dull, simply unhappy, and it always delivers. It is my fail safe product, the one I reach for when things aren’t good, and I really believe every skin will benefit from it.

But it is a pricey product and definitely not a must-have for a great skincare routine – I think you best try it yourself and see if you love it as much as I do.
