I just got done making the Polyjuice potion, and I left the Potions class and made my way up the staircase over there to the room with the curtains. I swept the statues/trophies and then I swept the mirror, but the guy won't let me through. He just keeps shaking his head...

God that's the one thing I hate about this game... the no talking. I have no idea what I have to do to get through. All the walkthroughs I'm looking at just say sweep the two things and he should let me through. Any ideas what I'm missing?

He only opens curtains for hufflepuff students, I think. There's a cauldron with polyjuice potion on the same floor, so you should have no trouble turning yourself into one.

For future reference, if a guy on the portrait shakes his head and does nothing, it means that you have to be a student of the the same house that the person on the portrait is.

I already passed the portrait that only opens for Hufflepuff's. That was the portrait in the room where you learned how to do the polyjuice potion. I'm on the next part now after I leave that room. Yeah there's a gold cauldron in the room I'm in now too, but one of the ingredients is THROUGH this curtain (positive about that, it's in every walkthrough I read so far.) I also saw a video of a guy doing it on youtube, and the portrait lets him through as Harry. Not as a Hufflepuff. I think I'm just gonna bring the game back, not even bother. It's annoying me too much already, it's only gonna be worse if I get to 90ish percent and I find out it glitched on me somehow. =/

Where is the bonus level in LEGO Harry Potter 2?

You can find the game's bonus stages in Gringott's Vault. Bonus stages require gold bricks for entry at a rate of 5 per stage.

How do you get past Hogwarts Castle in Year 3?

Hogwarts: Year Three (Right Image) Use your new magic on a spider and it'll leave you a key that you can use to open the lock on the door. Once you clear that first Story mode stage and watch a cutscene, you'll appear back in Hogwarts Castle.

How do you get the student in peril on Crabbe and Goyle?

Once you reach the common room, you'll find a Student in Peril standing atop a pile of glasses. You can't knock him loose conventionally, but note the nearby fireplace. There's a broom resting to its side. Use magic to send that broom up the chimney and you'll cause debris to be dislodged.
