I am trying to defeat the stupid tree but it just doesn't want to work grrr even though I click on the green bit of the branch when it lights up.

Any help please

stand under the branch where the shadow is then move before it comes down, then keep hitting it.

Thanks but did try it

The branch goes green then I hit it and I hear a bell then nothing happens.

It's been a while since I did that level, I might have to have a look again. Try tapping the branch with the stylus when it falls, it might need a spell.

I did it :D

Glad to have done it got the 2 tokens and the other 2 hats.

I have done the all the game just going back to what I missed out on.

Would you know where the 1st token is for Year 1 Privit Dr and the first one for Year 3 Hogswarts Express?

I'm stuck on the shrieking shack level and can't get past the whomping willow. When I jump into the lowered branch, I only get one shot and that pretty much goes anywhere. Is there a way to beat this thing without it taking forever?

Before you get into the branch, select the red spell. Now you can spam the Z button and hit the target eventually.

whomping willow help

In this level you’ll need a Regular Wizard, Dark Wizard, and Digging Character.

First Time

The level will start with the Whomping Willow trying to attack you. When it puts its branch down to hit you, climb on and shoot one of its leaves. After shooting all three, you can proceed to the next area.

Shoot the flower, then use Lumos on the vines and climb across. Jump down and shoot the flower to the right, then the brown roots above you. Shoot the roots again and then the flower on the left to make the seed grow into a tree. Climb up and go to the right, shoot the flower here, and jump on the first spiderweb and go to the left. Levitate the object here to make one of the vines at the end of the area recede. Jump across the next three spiderwebs, but once you’re on the fourth go down. Shoot the flower and levitate the next part of the vine. Climb back up and go around the two geysers. Shoot the pink balls hanging above you and use them to plug the geysers. The board will shoot upward. Get on and go to the left to get the final vine away. Shoot the flower to the right to get the Hufflepuff Crest piece before entering the next area.

You’re now trying to catch Scabbers. Shoot the area that he runs to to get a piece. After getting all of the pieces, put them together to build a giant mousetrap. Scabbers will come out and turn into Peter Pettigrew.

Use Lumos on the vines at the bottom of where you’re standing and put the pieces together, then shoot the object it makes for some blocks. Stack them up to reach the cliff. Use Crookshanks to dig up the cauldron, and shoot the items on the wall for two ingredients. Plant the seed to the right of the snake to get the final ingredient. Drink the potion and pull the chain, then climb up and use Crookshanks to dig up the spot to make a ladder. Be prepared to fight some spiders when you climb up. Shoot the spiderweb in the back to release the Student In Peril. Put together the pieces on the ground to make a springboard and bounce up and end the level.

Free Play

At the beginning there are two digging spots, one on either side of the Whomping Willow. Dig up the one on the left and have a Dark Wizard use Crucio on the box to get the Gryffindor Crest piece. Do the same for the spot on the right to get the character token for Witch (Grey).

In the area where you’re trying to catch Scabbers, go to the left and have a Dark Wizard use Crucio on the chest for the character token for Peter Pettigrew.

Use Reducto on the chest where you start out in this area to get the character token for Hermione (Red Hooded Top). Have Crookshanks dig up the spot to the left, where you’ll get a glass case. Play through the level up until where you pull the chain and have Crookshanks dig. Use Reducto on the lock behind you for a closet. Put the earmuffs on and go back to the beginning, where you found the Mandrake. Use the Mandrake to break the glass case and get the Ravenclaw Crest piece. Have a Dark Wizard use Crucio on the rock near where you found the Mandrake. There’s another rock not too far to the right, and another to the right of the cauldron. The last two rocks are in the area where you fought the spiders, across from each other. Destroying all five will earn you the Slytherin Crest piece.

How do you get past the Whomping Willow in LEGO Harry Potter?

To defeat the willow, make sure that you keep moving as it slaps down at the ground with its limbs. Most of those attacks you simply want to avoid, but there's one type wherein the willow will hammer the ground near the middle of the screen with what looks almost like a fist.

How do you stop the Whomping Willow?

The tree could be frozen by pushing a knot on its base. During the Marauders' time at Hogwarts, a transformed Peter Pettigrew, whose Animagus form was a rat, would slip in and push the knot.

How do you get past the Devil's Snare in LEGO Harry Potter?

You can do so using your Lumos magic, which you should aim at the Devil's Snare plants in the area. There's one just to the left from where you appear. Hit it with the spell, then target the many other plants in the chamber with additional blasts.
