There is a tremendous amount of competition. Right now, there are about a thousand applicants for about eighty spots for the nursing. You would need at least at 3.5 gpa and have all A's and B's in your pre-reqs to be considered a competitor. It is not a lottery system so what she needs to do is get A's in all her pre-reqs, volunteer at a hospital or something similar, and then score well on her TEAS V, to be even considered an applicant. Its like this all most all over the country with nursing majors. I would recommend, unless she is really determined, to think of a different less competitive major San Francisco State University
