This page covers what we can and cannot help with and how you can submit a request for case assistance
with our office. Before you request assistance from us, seek help from USCIS first. Our office can bring issues to USCIS’ attention and recommend solutions, but only USCIS can approve or deny pending applications or petitions, including expedite requests. How long does it take for US citizenship pending case?The national average processing time for naturalization (citizenship) applications is 14.5 months. But that's just the application processing wait time (see “Understanding USCIS Processing Times” below). The overall naturalization process involves more steps and a longer citizenship timeline.
Why is USCIS taking so long 2022?Processing times for Form N-400 (officially called the “Application for Naturalization”) have increased significant between FY 2017 and FY 2022, with FY2021 processing times averaging 11 months. The spike in recent years is largely due to a naturalization application backlog.
How do I know which USCIS Service Center is processing my case IOE?You will be able to find it at the top left corner of the notice. It will start with three letters, either “LIN”, “EAC”, “IOE”, “WAC”, “MSC”, “NBC” or “SRC”.
