Anti-Shock System

This system removes any chance of microcurrent shocking your skin by automatically adjusting the microcurrent intensity after it scans and measures your skin’s resistance to electricity.

BEAR must always be used with a water-based serum to act as a conductive layer for the microcurrent to get past the surface of the skin. FOREO Sweden recommends their water-based serum, SERUM SERUM SERUM.

This serum contains squalane-infused micro-capsules to help protect your skin, balance oil production and reduce ageing.

In case you are wondering what squalane is, it is a lipid that’s produced by our skin cells. With age, lipid production reduces and your skin becomes drier and rougher over the years. You can feel the differences as early as in your 20s. This is why it is important to replenish and hydrate your skin.

Aside from the squalane-infused micro-capsules, the serum also contains hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid attracts and holds on to water, making your skin plumper and more hydrated.

This serum also aids in fighting free radicals and gives your skin a healthier and youthful look.

The product is formulated without Phenoxyethanol, parabens, alcohol, Disodium Edta, mineral oil, allergens and Fragrance. It is also cruelty-free.

How to Use FOREO BEAR?

To start using the device for the first time, you have to register and sync your device with the FOREO For You app. After you’ve unlocked the device, you no longer need to use the app.  

However, if you are unsure of how to start massaging your face, there are a few guided facial fitness routines in the app for you to follow.

The app can also help find your BEAR if you lost it.

How to Use FOREO BEAR Manually?

Start the device by pressing the button once. This will activate the microcurrent and T-sonic pulsation. If you would like to turn off the T-sonic pulsation, double press the same button.

Once the device is on, press the button once to switch between intensity. There are 5 levels of intensities. I normally use intensity level 2 or 3. You can start with level 1 if you’ve never used this device before.

When using the device, always use a water-based serum as a serum to act as a conductive layer. Foreo recommends the Serum Serum Serum.

Spread a thin layer of serum onto a clean face evenly first before sectioning off your face into 5 sections:

• Left cheek + Left jawline
• The left side of the neck
• Right cheek + Right Jawline
• The right side of the neck
• Forehead

After you’ve sectioned off your face, apply a second layer of Serum Serum Serum in 1 section. This time, be plentiful with your application for the lack of serum may cause a slight tingling sensation.

While using, ensure the device does not go over your throat.

The device will work automatically when both of the spheres come in contact with your skin. Press the device onto your skin lightly while using.

Let the device go over the same area 3 to 5 times for the cheeks and sides of the neck. Always glide the device slowly in an upwards motion.

As for the forehead, go over the area 3 times in an upwards motion.

Once you’re done, press and hold the button for 3 seconds to turn off the device. The device will also be turned off automatically after 3 minutes.

Do take note, if you had a recent laser treatment, cosmetic surgery done on your face or any implanted medical devices or body aids, you should not use the device.

The BEAR comes with a QR code card that leads to the app, a charging cable, a bag, a manual, a stand for your device and 2ml of Serum Serum Serum. The manual explains everything in detail and in various languages so I would encourage users to read it before using.

My Experience with FOREO BEAR

This is not the first time I’ve been exposed to a microcurrent device. Previously, I tried out a microcurrent device and I was not a fan of the constant prickly and tingling sensation it gave me. However, the FOREO BEAR changed my perception of anti-ageing devices like these.

I started my journey at level 1 intensity but I gradually switched to level 2 to 3. Despite increasing the intensity, I did not feel any itchiness or spot any redness during usage. In fact, my face did look firmer and more youthful after a session.

Using it daily became a routine for me. Some days, I’ll use it in the day, some days, I’ll use it at night. I noticed that I had more visible effects when I used it during the day for it helps remove the overnight fluid retention. I like how my jawline has become more prominent after usage.

Microcurrent Facial Before and After

I’ve been using the device daily for over 2 weeks and I enjoy the daily self-care routine. Previously, I hated how my face looked so circular because of the weight I’d gained. Over the past 2 weeks, this device made my face look more like my old self.

The most prominent change is around my cheeks and jawline. The fluid and fat retention reduced drastically. My cheekbones also looked more lifted than before. As I’ve been using the device on my neck area, I noticed some of the lines have diminished as well.

Why do you get a tingling sensation during usage?

As this is a non-invasive face lifting microcurrent technology aka low-grade electrical current is being used to tone your skin, the tingling sensation can represent a few things:

• There’s not enough serum
• Both the spheres are not on the skin
• There’s hair in between the device and the face
• The intensity is too high for you

In that case, you can:

• Add more serum to your skin
• Lightly press both spheres, ensuring they are both touching your skin
• Remove the hair
• Reduce the intensity

In some cases, certain parts of your skin (such as your forehead) may feel more sensitive, in those cases, it is perfectly normal to feel a slight tingling sensation.

Overall, I do enjoy incorporating the FOREO BEAR into my daily self-care routine. It not only improves the quality of my skin but also makes me feel more confident in taking photos of myself.
