So why would you have concerns about using it on your kale? It is a natural product, containing a small amount of pyrethrin, a larger amount of amorphous silica (diatomaceous earth) and the bulk, calcium sulfate (essentially the same thing as gypsum) as filler and all are acceptable products in an organic garden. Sevin is an entirely different, chemically derived pesticide (carbaryl) that carries significant toxic properties (neurotoxin and potential human carcinogen), hence the increased time between application and harvest.

Just wash your produce before eating it......which you should do anyway, even if you never dust or spray with anything, organic or not.
