Will iphone 12 pro max case fit iphone 13 pro max reddit

My graphite iPhone 13 Pro Max came in today and I need to get a case on it ASAP to protect that stainless steel. I’m looking for a minimalistic case that is either clear or matte black. I’m sad they didn’t release a dark black color for the Pro this year, I was really looking forward to it from the leaks. I decided to switch up and go graphite this year since I went silver for my 12 Pro Max, but I guess there’s always next year for a dark black 🤷🏻‍♂️ Anyways, I’m looking for a minimalistic, thin case and I was just wondering what suggestions you guys have. I bought my parents the Spivey Ultra Hybrid clear case for their new 13 Pro’s, and I like it, but I was just wondering if there were any other good suggestions out there, especially for matte black. I had the Apple Leather case for my 12 Pro Max and was really disappointed in it compared to the Apple Leather case I had for my 11 Pro. Any suggestions would be great!! Thanks!

EDIT: Also I would like the case to be MagSafe compatible! I’ve learned that not all thin cases are MagSafe compatible for whatever reason. I really just don’t want a big ring on the back of my case lol 🤷🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

The camera module is larger so 12 cases won’t work with 13.

Always this fucking argument.

Try putting a phone with a larger camera bump in an existing case. Not to mention the fact it’s thicker.

Unless you want to stifle advancement for years, you can’t expect Apple to make phones the exact same shape.

Also, I’ve yet to see another manufacturer have exactly the same phone shape every year. Are they all trillion dollar companies?

They're the same size, but the iPhone 13 is 0.2mm thicker, so it's really not much at all but would it be enough for the iPhone 12 to wiggle inside an iPhone 13 case?

Are you certain that the camera area didn't become larger on the back of the phone? I read it was going to be larger, but I haven't been able to confirm that at this point.

From the information I can gather from Apple's products pages, they seem to be identical in every way but the thickness (but once again, 0.2mm is really not much). Though, they don't mention the camera area size on their website so it's hard to know for sure until the phone is released.

Nope, the 14 has both a bigger camera system in terms of width x height, as well as a thicker one.

No they don’t. I just received my 14 Pro leather case from apple today and tried to slide my 13 Pro. It’s fits, but the camera cut out isn’t flush with the camera bump on the phone. The lip around the edges is pretty raised as well.
