Brett Lorenzo Favre (October 10, 1969-) (QB) was arguably the greatest quarterback to ever grace the NFL and stands atop most the NFL’s major offensive categories including pass completions and attempts, passing yards and touchdowns and interceptions. The Atlanta Falcons drafted Brett in the second round of the 1991 NFL Draft out of the University of Southern Mississippi where started four seasons and led the Golden Eagles over significant victories over top ranked Florida State and Alabama in their hay-day. He appeared in only two games with Atlanta in 1991 before he was traded to the Green Bay Packers where he became the new face of the franchise. In his first season with Green Bay, Brett replaced quarterback Don Majkowski under center in the second and third games of the season, and started for the first time in game four, beginning the longest consecutive start streak in NFL history (297). By 1995 Favre had established himself as one of the elite QBs as he led the league in passing yards (4,413) and passing touchdowns (38) as he earned his first of three consecutive NFL AP Most Valuable Player Awards (1995-1997). Brett led the Packers to three straight NFC Championship Games and helped them capture the Super Bowl XXXI as he threw for 246 yards and two touchdowns, as well as rushed for another to defeat the New England Patriots.

Favre led the NFL once in completion percentage, twice in pass completions and passing yards, three times in pass completions and interceptions and four times in touchdown passes and touchdown percentage. He earned five NFC Player of the Year Awards, three NFL All-Pro First Team selections and played in 11 NFL Pro Bowls. Brett is often remembered for the game of his life on December 22, 2003 when, just one day after his father passed away, he threw four touchdown passes in the first half against the Oakland Raiders, finishing with 399 total yards in a 41-7 rout on Monday Night Football. Beginning in 2002, speculation surrounding Favre’s potential retirement became an issue for the remainder of his career. He played 20 seasons with the Falcons (1991), the Packers (1992-2007), the New York Jets (2008) and the Minnesota Vikings (2009-2010). Brett Favre is the only quarterback to lead his team to victory over every team in the league and is one of four QBs to lead the league four times in touchdown passes. During Favre’s 297 consecutive start streak, 238 quarterbacks have started throughout the league. Brett Favre ended his career for good in 2010 having passed for 71,838 passing yards on 6,300 completions in 10,169 attempts and threw 508 passing touchdowns, and 336 interceptions. He scored a total of 84 points on 14 rushing touchdowns and rushed for 1,844 yards over 20 years. Brett holds numerous NFL offensive records and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2016, his first year of eligibility.
