Is Anthem BCBS the same as BCBS of Alabama?

Are Anthem and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama the same company? No. Anthem and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama are completely separate companies.

Who is eligible for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama?

You have received Social Security disabilty benefits for at least two years; OR. You receive a disability pension from the Railroad Retirement Board; OR. You have Lou Gehrig's disease (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or ALS); OR. You have End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) requiring regular dialysis or a kidney transplant.

Is CVS in network with BCBS of Alabama?

"CVS Pharmacy continues to accept all commercial plans offered by BCBS Alabama, which are typically through large employers and other groups of over 50 participants," said Gary Serby, Director of Corporate Communications for CVS. "CVS Pharmacy also continues to accept all BCBS Alabama Medicare Part D plans."
