The DDS develops, adjudicates, and processes disability claims of residents for Social Security disability benefits. The unit staff determines if:
While governed by the Social Security Administration and 100% federally funded, DDS is a state agency that is located within the state DVR agency. The Delaware DDS makes approximately 8000 disability decisions per year for the State of Delaware. Deputy Director Theora Lowe-Staton is responsible for the operations of the DDS unit. By 2021, the MSP had not been updated in many years and had become antiquated and obsolete. What is the 2022 SSI payment?For 2022, the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) FBR is $841 per month for an eligible individual and $1,261 per month for an eligible couple. For 2022, the amount of earnings that will have no effect on eligibility or benefits for SSI beneficiaries who are students under age 22 is $8,230 a year.
