Seniors, expectant mothers and those with disabilities are always welcome as walk-ins. See above for services you may be able to complete on-line. Vehicle registration services (license plates, titles) do not offer appointments.

How do I check the status of my Illinois drivers license?

Call the Secretary of State at 217-782-6212 and press option 1 to check if your license is valid. Have your Social Security Number and Driver's License Number handy.

How do I schedule an appointment at the Illinois DMV?

Customers can make an appointment up to 10 days in advance at www.cyberdriveillinois.com or by calling the appointment helpline at 844-817-4649.

Who do I call about my suspended license in Illinois?

Suspension and revocation fees may be paid by telephone using a Visa, MasterCard or Discover credit card by calling 217-785-8619. The $250 or $500 fee for a Statutory Summary Suspension and the $70 Zero Tolerance Suspension fees may be mailed to the DUI Section at the address above.
