Maxima 10w30 break in oil

Description

PERFORMANCE BREAK-IN OIL is specifically designed for breaking in engines with flat tappet camshafts, roller elements or where elevated levels of anti-wear additives are needed. High Zinc/Phosphorous formula is blended with highly refined, pure petroleum base stocks to provide optimum ring seal.

2X ZINC FORMULA REDUCES CRITICAL ENGINE WEAR: Complex 2X Zinc structure protects for an extended temperature range, outperforming conventional break-in oils. By combining two different zinc compounds, PERFORMANCE BREAK-IN OIL activates at lower temperatures and offers more protection at elevated temperatures.PERFORMANCE BREAK-IN OIL is perfectly balanced and requires no other additives. Dyno tests show more efficiency in the break-in phase when using MAXIMA PERFORMANCE BREAK-IN OIL.

    Maxima 10w30 break in oil

Mineral based engine oil specifically formulated for breaking in engines with flat tappet camshafts, roller elements and where maximum anti-wear performance is needed. High ZDDP formulation combines the highest quality mineral base stocks with a shear-stable polymer system to provide fast and effective ring seal. Advanced, proprietary additive system utilizes a complex, low-temperature activating 2X Zinc system that ensures immediate and lasting protection. Dyno proven to increase break-in efficiency.

How long should you use break in oil?

We recommend using our Engine Break-In Oil for a minimum of 500-1,000 miles in street driven gasoline engines to assure that the complete ring break-in has been completed before switching to one of our full synthetic engine oils. If need be, you can use for up to 2500 miles.

What oil should I use for break

Use a 5w-30 or 10w-30 motor oil with an engine break-in additive (ZDDP or zinc camshaft additive), especially with flat tappet camshafts.

Is engine break in oil necessary?

Engine break-in oil is a critical component of an engine rebuild. It allows controlled friction in low-load areas like piston rings. Additionally, it provides exceptional protection to areas with high loads, such as the camshaft and lifters.

Is it okay to break engine in with synthetic oil?

Today, most new engines come from the factory with synthetic oil. However, these engines were broken in prior to being installed in the vehicle. Engine technology has improved to the point where breaking in an engine is not as critical as it used to be. These newer engines can be broken in using synthetic oil.

Does synthetic oil have a break

After the break-in period of usually 300–500 miles, you can use synthetic oil.
