Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate is someone that wants to be a part of a fun, active, and passionate team.  Excellent staff work with humility and are happy to help wherever is needed to bring team success. We want someone who is hungry to share their talents to achieve success. We are in the business of people in more ways than one. To be happy here you need to be able to be flexible with coworkers and the guests you will meet.

People come to our location for work or vacation from all over the world.  They come from different backgrounds and different cultures. Working and living at Zion Ponderosa is a great opportunity for you to meet new interesting people that become life-long friends. We strive in all ways to be more than just a place to work or to sleep, like a typical hotel. We want to provide an “experience” that is lasting and provides emotional depth.

Room and Board

We provide included onsite housing and an opportunity to enroll in a discount meal plan. The housing varies in type but is mostly dorm style where you can expect to have roommates. We have a large dorm building where most staff stay and share a single bedroom with one roommate. Bathrooms are shared with the entire wing, but ratios are typically one shower and one toilet to one set of roommates in a room. A shared kitchen is also available to all staff that wishes to cook. There is a daily maintenance fee of $5/person/day. This fee includes electricity, gas, water, wifi, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, and paper products, etc. Some housing areas when we are completely full are larger dorm rooms in different buildings that may include more than one roommate. Spaces are assigned on a first come first serve basis.

In addition to the cooking areas provided we also provide a low-cost meal plan. This is the option we most recommend, and most staff do take part in it. We provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner during peak season at a cost of $4 per meal to the staff member. This is to help with time constraints during shifts and space constraints for the food storage and preparation area. All meals ordered from any onsite restaurant are also offered at a 20% discount for any time you would like to have a good breakfast or any other meal.

Employee Perks

Our closest neighbor is Zion National Park where many trails head straight from our ranch resort property into the park. Visitors come from all over the world to experience activities such as canyoneering in Zion slot canyons. Not many feelings can match the wonder as you descend ropes deep into these canyons. Imagine standing hundreds of feet deep in a red rock slot canyon hallway, very few people have stood in these places. This kind of experience becomes a regular as you work and play in an area so blessed with pristine beauty in every direction.

Our staff has the opportunity to experience the Ranch just as a guest would. We want our staff to participate in all recreation activities for free, use the resort amenities such as pool, hot tub, tennis courts, pickleball, and paddleboards on the pond. When you are off-shift your time is your own to explore and recreate! We want you to experience our story while creating your own.
